Lacrosse is a fast paced, highly skilled and phsyical sport which is growing rapidly in the UK.
The Women's Lacrosse Club at Hallam have one competition team who play weekly BUCS matches against other Universities. We also offer Development training sessions for those who are new lacrosse. This will teach you how to play and enable you to get involved in friendly matches and tournaments. Regardless of your ability, our club will welcome you with open arms.
For new players, we offer training that is specifically designed to be easy going and fun, you will train seperately to the more experienced players as we are aware that it can be intimidating when you're new to the sport. Although you train seperately, there will still be plenty of opportunties for you to meet and get to know everyone else. In your development membership you will be given your own stick, so there is no need to worry about buying one before you join. There are always opportunitites to progress too, if the coach sees potential you may be invited to train with the team.
First team training is on a Monday evening at Sheffield Hallam Sports Park on Bawtry Road. Development training is on a Tuesday evening but is located at colligiate campus to make it more accessible. Matches are played on Wednsdays and can be both at home or away. If we are playing at home it will also be at the Bawtry Road Sports Park.
We are dedicated to making sure everyone in Lacrosse has a great experience. In 2022 we won committee of the year and this year we want to do even better! Come and give Lacrosse a go and be a part of the friendliest team at Hallam!
